Pancake Deja Vu

10 Feb

Another classic Pancake Night round Alice Can’t Cook Towers.
It’s the same every year so I won’t elaborate but the pictures tell the same old story:
CAKEFullSizeRenderIMG_5809Not sure why I keep bothering, why I think every year might be different? But I have to, I love pancakes, really love them. One year will by MY year…

For the full terrible pancake story read about the night I live tweeted Pancake Night 2014 from my kitchen with the usual results here!

Alice, I adore you (but wouldn’t let you near my kitchen…)

You do know that the first pancake of a batch is always virtually inedible, don’t you? It’s something to do with the pan not being hot enough. Basically, it takes the production of one to make the rest work. Looks like the one in your second picture is suffering from an often made mistake, which is to have the pan too hot. Always, the first side takes waaay longer than the second side, to cook. Oh and you can’t take your eyes off the pan for a millisecond as they will always burst into flames the nanosecond that your eyes move. There, that’s given you more confidence, I know. LOL 😀

Can you help Alice?
