Look, I can’t even toast crumpets.
Although I am sure most of this is my toasters fault?
Sadly I had no more crumpets left so I pretended that my son had asked for porridge for breakfast all along and gave him that instead. (easy, boiling water added to cup of flavoured oats)
He looked at me suspiciously and said ‘what’s that burning smell?’
I thought about using my oversight as a little history lesson!
